This policy explains what information New Canadian Finance collects when you use our website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. We aim to follow Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
2. What we collect
- Without an account: the fee audit answers and credit score you type are processed in your browser. Your checklist progress is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device.

- Credit score screenshots: if you upload one, it is read by a vision service locally for verification, and then will be immediately deleted. Please blur, crop, or otherwise remove all sensitive info prior to uploading. Do not upload anything that shows your name, account numbers or address.
- Creators: the tracking IDs you register and the referral counts linked to them.
- Technical data: basic information such as your IP address, browser and pages visited, kept in server logs and depersonalized analytic tools.

- Service providers that help us run the site: [database and sign-in provider, for example Supabase], Google for sign-in, [hosting provider], [image-reading provider for score screenshots].
- Fonts: this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Card issuers and partners: if you click a link to apply for a card, the issuer collects information under its own policy. We may be told that you were referred, but not your application details.
- When the law requires it.
Some providers store data outside Canada, including in [countries]. Your information may be subject to the laws of those places.

Some links to card issuers are paid referral links. We may earn a fee if you apply or are approved, at no extra cost to you. This does not change our estimates, as our mission is to provide accurate, trustworthy financial information to you.
